Islands & breakfast bars
An island or breakfast bar weighed against the room before it is drawn: we calculate walkways and the swing of every drawer and oven door, so the space does not close in on you once it is fitted.
What the work covers
- A walkway no narrower than the safe clearance between island and units, allowing for an oven and a dishwasher door open at once.
- Options built into the island: a second sink, a hob, deep storage, or breakfast seating at a considered height.
- Water, power and extraction run under the floor, coordinated with your contractor before anything is poured.
How the price is worked out
The price is built on your real dimensions: board area consumed, metres of edging, number of fittings, worktop length and labour hours, plus a stated margin. That is why two kitchens of the same size differ in price when the material or the number of drawers differs — and we explain the difference line by line.
